too good for the harmonica lovers and the best part is that year after
the year it has been celebrated in various cities across India like
Hyderabad,Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Burdwan etc.
Indian Harmonica Day day
or the IHD was initiated during the IMP Meet 2012, Kolkata (Indian
Mouthorgan Players’ Meet) organised in
association with Harmonica Lovers of
Hyderabad (HaLoH) and Kolkata Harmonica
Association (KHA) formerly called as Indian Harmonica Association (IHA) on
18th August, 2012
Harmonica Lovers from various cities feeling like a day
dedicated to the harmonica is the
perfect opportunity to organize harmonica concerts by roping in the great
harmonica players , also to encourage
new and emerging harmonica players- to build up a treasury of the old and new
in the world of harmonica. Music after all is the greatest unifier in humanity
and no event is better recognized or defined than by music which defines and
completes a perfect human social and aesthetic experience.
Consistently for the 4th year HaLoH team celebrated
“Indian Harmonica Day” on 22nd November
2015 at Prasad Labs Preview Theatre, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. 22nd November
was the birthday of Father of Harmonica in India -Late Shri Milon Gupta, who
popularized harmonica in India with his melodies and taught to play Harmonica
to many Harmonica Lovers. This event was sponsored by M/s NMDC Limited, M/s
Agromech and M/s Globion.
Harmonica Lovers of Hyderabad (HaLoH) organized a Karaoke
musical nite on Harmonica. The programme was a grand success with grand audience comprising music lovers from all
walks of life Young and old both enjoyed the program equally. The audience
enjoyed the performances of all the Harmonica Lovers. They clapped along and
enjoyed the renditions.
Chief Guest- Harmonica Jadugar Ashok Bhandari from Delhi , mesmerised the audience along with HaLoH members and other
guests –Shri Rajeev Srivastava from Mumbai, Shri Sanat Kumar from Chennai
and Shri Tapan Maharana from Odisha.
